NOAM CHOMSKY was voted the “world’s top public intellectual” in a 2005 Global Intellectuals poll. A 2006 New Statesman magazine poll voted him seventh in the list of “Heroes of our time”. Known for his legendary critiques of U.S. foreign policy as well as of mainstream mass media, Noam has authored over 100 books and a plethora of articles, and has received honorary degrees from universities worldwide. Noam visited Gaza in late 2012.
HOLLY NEAR is a magnificent singer, songwriter, and activist who just released her new album, Peace Becomes You. She has been named a MS. Magazine Woman of the Year, and in 2005 was among “1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize.” Holly has performed with Joan Baez, Harry Belafonte, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Mercedes Sosa, Pete Seeger, Bonnie Raitt, Inti-Illimani, Ronnie Gilbert, more!
